Guidelines and Policies for Abstract Submission

The ISBP Scientific Committee welcomes submission of abstracts for oral and poster presentation.

The Scientific Committee will only accept online abstract submissions via our online abstract service. Please click on the link to begin your submission process

Instruction for submitting abstracts
Abstracts should be submitted in English and be a maximum of 300 words (2050 characters including spaces, but excluding the title and the authors). Abstracts with diagrams, charts and reference citations will not be accepted. Each abstract should be typed using the following headings:

1. Title of paper: This should be brief but clearly indicate the content
2. Author(s): Give the initials and surnames of authors, place an asterisk next to the name of the presenter
3. Affiliation: Give the affiliation of the presenting author only
4. Text of abstract: This should be no more than 200 words and describe
   • Objectives,
   • Method,
   • Results,
   • Conclusion.
5. Preferred type of presentation: State whether presentation is a) oral or b) poster. But the final decision will be made by the Scientific Committee.

The author(s) must indicate on the abstract form preference(s) of presentation mode. Members of the Scientific Committee will decide on mode of presentation. Efforts will be made to comply with preference of the author(s). Submission of the abstract carries with it the obligation of the author to present the paper in person. One participant is allowed to present one paper only. This rule, however, does not limit the number of participant's co-authorships.

Notification of Abstract Status
Abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee. After scientific committee evaluation all accepted abstract authors will be notified by email.  
Abstracts will be published in Blood Purification, Official Journal of the International Society of Blood Purification.  All abstracts will be published by title, authors and affiliation of the presenters.
